On the 18th-19th May 2023, our team attended the inaugural Primary Care Partnership Network (PCPN) event.
Our very own Director of Innovation, Tiba Rao, spoke alongside Ankish Patel, Head of Workforce and Chief Pharmacist at Nottingham City GP Alliance, on ‘Sustainable workforce development – a SMART approach’.
During this session, Tiba and Ankish discussed best practice from Nottingham City GP Alliance with their Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) workforce of 150 plus, unpacked the ways by which clarity of expectation, competency assessment and capability mapping drive enhanced integration and Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) working, and how the SMART Workforce solution is transforming long-term condition delivery whilst optimising and building the skills and competence of the wider MDT, including the ARRS roles.
The conversation and red thread throughout every panel session and presentation by the eminent speakers and panellists was one of radically transforming the way we deliver healthcare and that we can’t do this without innovating the skills mix and competencies of the workforce to deliver this.
The SMART Workforce solution is a pioneering digital solution that is widely used across primary care by PCNs, federations, and commissioned by NHSE to support sustainable and scalable workforce development.

Soar Beyond is delighted to be joining the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) UK Pavilion at Arab Health 2023, which is taking place from 30 January – 2 February in Dubai.
The exhibition – the largest event of its kind in the Middle East – brings together the healthcare world to network, share experience and do business. Last year the event brought together 80,577 healthcare professionals from 184 countries.
As Arab Health marks its return on the health technology calendar in January 2023, the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) will again be leading the UK’s most visible pavilion of health technology companies. This year, leading healthcare businesses, renowned hospital groups, and esteemed clinicians from world-leading clinics will be amongst the UK delegation travelling to the Middle East to showcase ‘the very best’ of UK HealthTech.
Soar Beyond has been supporting the healthcare systems and pharmaceutical industry since 2007 through our innovative service transformation solutions that have been designed to release clinical capacity through upskilling workforce and reimagining healthcare delivery.

To mark World Diabetes Day and the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Insulin, global healthcare company Novo Nordisk held a ceremony at Burj Plaza in Dubai in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark and the health authorities in the United Arab Emirates. As a long-standing partner of Novo Nordisk, our Director Shailen Rao was honoured to be asked to deliver a speech at this historic event.
The event was attended by local health authorities and strategic partners with a view to strengthen their cooperation, enhance the public awareness of diabetes and develop prevention plans and initiatives.
Shailen referred to the UAE “representing a diverse, multi-national and multi-skilled nation” and for organisations to think beyond “traditional service delivery models” helping us to start “reimagining the patient care pathways that harness the full potential of the multidisciplinary workforce”
The theme which ran through the event was the importance of working collaboratively across the healthcare systems involving leaders among pharmaceutical companies, and the medical profession with the aim to support patients. This along with the strapline of the event being ‘Beyond Innovation’ is extremely fitting to Soar Beyond’s ethos, which is to push boundaries and drive innovation in healthcare.
Prior to this event, and as part of our ongoing determination to fulfil this vision, we had partnered up with Novo Nordisk and the Department of Health in Dubai, to run a weight management service improvement programme. This is a positive step in the right direction and was also reflected in a speech given by The Ambassador of Denmark, Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin when he touched on the importance of public private partnerships working closely with patients to ensure compliance and successful treatment.
The event ended in spectacular fashion and is another proud moment for Soar Beyond – As the crowd gathered in front of the Burj Khalifa, a true symbol of innovation and ambition, we were presented with the most breath-taking moment of the day. The Burj Khalifa was lit up in an amazing projection show, and the Soar Beyond logo was projected onto it for the world to see!
